Given the incomplete information made available by companies and the government, EWG provides additional information on personal care product ingredients from the published scientific literature. The chart below indicates that research studies have found that exposure to one or more ingredients in this product -- not the product itself -- caused the indicated health effect(s) in the studies reviewed by Skin Deep researchers. Actual health risks, if any, will vary based on the level of exposure to the ingredient and individual susceptibility -- information not available in Skin Deep.

Ingredients from packaging: HYDROGENATED PALM KERNEL GLYCERIDES, HYDROGENATED PALM GLYCERIDES, TALC, HYDROGENATED VEGETABLE OIL, CAPRILIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE, RHUS SUCCEDANEA (RHUS SUCCEDANEA FRUIT WAX), TOCOPHEROL, ALOE BARBADENSIS (ALOE BARBADENSIS LEAF EXTRACT), RETINYL PALMITATE, ASCORBYL PALMITATE, (+/- [MAY CONTAIN]: CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499 (IRON OXIDES), CI 15850 (RED 6 AND RED 7 LAKE), CI 77163 (BISMUTH OXYCHLORIDE), CI 42090 (BLUE 1 LAKE), CI 75470 (CARMINE), CI 77742 (MANGANESE VIOLET), MICA, CI 45380 (RED 21 AND RED 21 LAKE), CI 45410 (RED 28 LAKE), CI 73360 (RED 30), CI 77891 (TITANIUM DIOXIDE), CI 47005 (YELLOW 10 LAKE), CI 19140 (YELLOW 5 LAKE), CI 15985 (YELLOW 6 LAKE), CI 77947 (ZINC OXIDE)
Directions from packaging: Application Technique:Begin by resting hand on chin to steady. Top Lip: Start at the peaks of the bow. With two downward strokes, create a 'V'. Return to the peaks of the bow. Draw two straight lines downward to the outer corners of the mouth. Bottom Lip: Draw a semi-circle in the middle of the lip following the natural kip line. Using the side of the sharpened point, lay the liner in the natural ridge at the corner of the mouth and draw a line inward to meet the semi-circle. Once the lip has been defined, use the smooth back end of the pencil to soften and blend the line. Application Tips:For extra long lasting color - Line the lips to define. Continue to fill in the lips with soft, feathered strokes. Apply lipstick over pencil. The pencil stain will enable the color to last for hours. For more full lips - Line just the inside of the natural lip line using one of the deeper shades. Dark colors tend to create depth and decrease size. To diminish full lips - Line just the inside of the natural lip line using one of the deeper shades. Dark colors tend to create depth and decrease size. For more defined lips - Apply liner following the natural lip line, then fill in with lipstick. Using a pencil one shade deeper, reline the lips and feather in the color just in the outer corners working in. This will create a dramatic effect.
